Good cards and where to find them.

This is a list of the cards which are generally considered to be amongst the best in the game.  They are all 'protagonist' cards, which means they represent the main protagonists (characters) in the 'I Am MT' cartoon upon which the game is based.

All of these cards are capable of progressing all the way to purple+3, meaning that they will stay with you for the long run.  There are other cards which may serve you very well early in your EH career but which are capped at green or blue; I haven't included any of these as you'll eventually outgrow them, making it questionable whether it is worth the time and effort to level them up.

For each card there is a brief description of what it is good for and information on where to hunt for it.  Most of these cards come from the Events dungeons.


MT and Barrel Bull - Backstab Squad / Handsome Team
Considered to be the best tanks in the game for tanking physical damage.  Massive HP pool.  Some feel BB has better synergies but both are excellent choices.

Lady - Order of Light
Considered to be one of the best tanks in the game for tanking magical damage, although she only really hits her full potential at purple.  Lady also heals rather than attacks so she can help out on the healing front too.

Howard - Kunitari Base
Another candidate for best tank in the game for tanking magical damage.  Howard has more HP and slightly better innate magic resistance than Lady but he doesn't heal; he attacks instead.  At purple+3 Howard actually has more HP than MT or Barrel Bull.

Qriest - Backstab Squad / Girls Team
Considered to be the best pure healer in the game.  Qriest has no offensive capabilities but will keep your team upright for longer than most!

Miss - Order of Light
A very good healer as an alternative to Qriest.  Miss heals for less than Qriest but has more health, making her better in certain situations as Miss may survive a hit that would kill Qriest.  Note that when you farm Order of Light for her she will appear as Bride - this is her name when she is green but she becomes Miss as you evolve her to blue.  She is also very hard to farm if your damage output is low as she heals herself for vast amounts.  Qriest is much easier to get earlier in your EH career.

Thief - Backstab Squad / Girls Team
Excellent single-target physical DPS card, very similar to Rogue.  Some feel Thief has better synergies but it depends on which other cards you have or plan to get.

Rogue - Backstab Squad / Handsome Team
Excellent single-target physical DPS card, very similar to Thief.  Some feel Thief has better synergies but it depends on which other cards you have or plan to get.  Rogue has a better picture!

Beauty - Backstab Squad / Girls Team
Solid single-target physical DPS card, similar to Hunter.  Beauty's initiative skill targets two enemies at random and is quite powerful when fully charged to 6/6.

Hunter - Backstab Squad / Handsome Team
Solid single-target physical DPS card, similar to Beauty.  Hunter's initiative skill targets every enemy in the back row.  Fully charged to 6/6 it can do considerable damage to enemies who are otherwise quite difficult to reach.

Fire Captain - Kunitari on Fire / Five Fireballs
Excellent single-target magical DPS card.  Can be evolved to purple+2 without requiring any drops just by saving all of the Ambassadors that the game gives you as you level up to 80.

Warlock - Backstab Squad / Girls Team
Excellent single-target magical DPS card with limited ability to self-heal using her Life Siphon skill.

Brick - Order of Light
Magical DPS card with an AoE initiative skill which hits every enemy.  When fully powered up to 6/6 this can be very powerful against trash MOBs, damaging or killing all of them in a single hit.

Mage - Backstab Squad / Girls Team
Magical DPS card with an initiative skill which hits every enemy in the column in front of her.  When fully powered up to 6/6 this can be quite potent, damaging or killing ordinary MOBs in a column to clear or severely weaken a flank.  Often underrated, Mage comes into her own in Heroic dungeons where cards which can hit the back row on turn 1 can make the difference between defeat and victory.

Shaman - Backstab Squad / Girls Team
Magical DPS card with an initiative skill which fires lightning at three random targets.  A potent card which has excellent synergies with Cannon Lady.

Cannon Lady - Universal Piece exchange
A very powerful magical DPS card with a normal skill which fires lightning at three random targets every turn.  She also self-resurrects once per stage when killed.  Cannon Lady can only be obtained as a reward for collecting Universal Pieces (so don't waste any!).

Druid - Backstab Squad / Handsome Team
An underrated card which can be very useful under the right circumstances.  Druid makes an excellent backup healer, is fairly tough compared to most other healers and will resurrect one fallen team mate per stage of a dungeon.  Potent synergy with MT, making them both significantly less likely to take critical hits.

Female Druid - Backstab Squad / Girls Team
An underrated card which can be very useful under the right circumstances.  Female Druid makes an excellent backup healer, is fairly tough compared to most other healers and will resurrect one fallen team mate per stage of a dungeon.  Good synergy with Howard, boosting magic resistance slightly and making them both less likely to take critical hits.


I plan to add to this post at a later dates as there are a number of other cards which are also worth hanging on to.  The list at the moment reflects what most people consider to be the "best" in each category, although "best" is a very subjective word!

Elder sister is a great card just don't know where to find her supposedly lady's sister

ES is available only as a reward for rune purchases. The first one comes at 20,000 runes. I haven't included her in the list above because she isn't really a "mainstream" card and may remain out of the reach of most players.

If you see one available as a helper though, BORROW IT!
